DDI Culture

It’s hardly new news that attention is an increasingly scarce and expensive commodity.

With ad avoidance a fact of life, there is really no point shouting at people – in fact research proves that trying to beat people into submission often backfires.*

Fortunately, there’s another way.

It’s about getting people to lean-in of their own free will, stirring a desire for more.

At DDI we do this by creating meaningful connections between people and brands that secure your business an unfair share of attention.

We do this by creating a signature visual image. Simple, powerful, undeniable.

We call this approach The Art of Being Noticed.

If you want to stir up some real emotion, get in touch.

WHO ARE WE?

We’re the passionate ones, the good listeners, the ones that poke and prod, the ones whose curiosity killed the cat and the ones that get sent to investigate when it goes ‘bump’ in the night.

We are a talented group of individuals that when combined have the capabilities to create ideas that stir powerful emotions in our clients and their customers.

Founded in 1987, when Madonna’s ‘Like a Prayer’ was the #1 song in Australia, DDI remains a fiercely independent full-service boutique creative agency that has always marched to the beat of our own drum.

We had the very first female Creative Director in Australia, long before the #MeToo movement was part of society’s lingua franca.

That fundamental commitment to equality remains embedded in our DNA and is borne out by the number of working mums (and flexi-time dads) we boast in our ranks.

At DDI, that’s just the way we roll.

We know that, for some, those might just be words on a page or something to roll out when awards season comes around, but for us, they are words to live by.

Every idea, meeting or strategic move has this filter applied to it.

“Today you are you, that is truer than true. There is no one alive who is youer than you.”  Dr Suess

At DDI we embrace who you are beyond what you do between 9 and 5. We celebrate the richness of every individual and give our people the freedom and flexibility to indulge their passions outside of work – whatever they may be!

We also have a quiet obsession for artisan cakes and blowing out candles. Bring on your Birthday.
